Meriç Tuncer is an Amsterdam-based dancer and movement director whose collaborative practice focuses on the relationships bodies form with space and with one another. Working across contemporary dance, performance, and interdisciplinary contexts, he approaches movement as a way of exploring memory, connection, and transformation.
Jack Bannerman is a Dresden-based dancer and choreographer whose international choreographic practice moves between contemporary dance, theatrical approaches, and collaborative forms of performance.
During their residency at DAA, Meriç and Jack developed a shared research process rooted in personal experiences of grief. Moving between contemporary dance, theatrical layers, sound, and the relationship with the audience, their work explores how performance can create a space for thinking, connecting, and transformation.
Together, they approached their time at DAA as both a personal and shared space for reflecting on grief, memory, and the ways these experiences can be communicated and held with others. Through movement, sound, and encounter, they investigate how private experiences of loss might gradually open toward collective forms of awareness and exchange.
Over time, this collaborative research will evolve into a solo performance by Meriç, allowing the process to continue developing through new questions and forms.
